Is the game of baseball done with the over-hyped A-ROD?

Alex Rodriguez, the always controversial slugger may be suspended for life. He has won 3 MVPS, 14 All Star Selections, 2 huge contracts and a history of steroid use. He admitted to using steroids from 2001-2003 while in Texas. He apologized for this and called himself young and stupid. So what does he call himself now? I call him a cheater.

Before I go any further, I am going to tell you why I always disliked A-FRAUD. I have been a Yankee fan since I was about 6. When the Yankees got him, I almost stopped watching them. Alex Rodriguez put up huge numbers, but they were empty. He would hit home runs when his team was up by 3 runs or down by 4 runs. When the game was on the line he normally came up empty. I would change the channel knowing the game was over. He only produced in one post season, all the rest he was horrible. The best player in the game produces when games are on the line. I wouldn’t have paid more than $8 million a year for thus bum.

Fellow players praised his work ethic, but thought he was a narcissist. He didn’t seem to have camaraderie with teammates and his comnents caused his relationship with the Captain to deteriorate. He said Derek Jeter always was surrounded by great talent and never had to lead. Their relationship never recovered. When A-ROD was having the worst post season of his career last year, teammates were peeved that he wad chatting up 2 women in the stands. He didn’t seem to care about winning.

This is just the opinion of a fan. The BIOGENISIS scandal may be a blessing in disguise. It may allow the Yankees to get put from under the albatross that is Rodriguez’s contract. I hope he is suspended for life. Not only did he cheat but he recruited others. This is not someone who deserves another chance. He deserves the lifetime ban. He admitted to cheating, yet did it again. Alex Rodriguez being suspended for life would show that baseball will not put up with cheaters. He is the example that needs to be set.
